I am really excited to tell you about a new dynamic to this website that will soon become a monthly fixture. Every month a new athlete will be highlighted. It’s this company’s goal to create a melting pot of experiences and opportunities as we form a community. By highlighting the lives of others, it is the hope, that this new facet will add a fresh perspective in aiding in the formation of creative and vibrant lives.
My goal with photography has been to explore the passion that is within people, to document the progression that takes place amongst these varied disciplines, and to invest in people as we each add to the melting pot of life. Photography reminds me to breath, it’s a process of creatively articulating the experiences of life. To breath passion and progression, while investing in people as they in turn bring perspective to my life.
Through this project a journal of lives will begin to form a compilation of multi faceted personalities, experiences and some shared common denominators, all being stirred together. This journal will be a narrative of people, passion, and progression, using images and text. Words can often times be hidden by an image.

I wrapped up a trip to Indian Creek Utah the other day, I spent 2 weeks photographing in the desert. This well done video clip of Katie Brown and Cedar Wright on “Belly Full of Bad Berries” is one of the routes that we shot.
I spent 1 day shooting with Mary Harlan on this route. A climber for Mad Rock and Omega Pacific. Check back for some images.
I spent the most time photographing the crazy Columbian, Andres Marin, aka miss January. Check Andres out in the new 2008 Rock and Ice calendar. Andres is truly a pleasure to be around. I think Andres climbed “Brother from another planet” about 10 or 11 times.
The past few weeks have been spent in the dry corner of Utah. A few days of mountain biking in Moab and the past 8 days have been spent in Indian Creek photographing several climbers. Its been really nice down here. Our crew has been super great, between holding flashes, getting up early and giving lots of belays.
Currently our crew is in Ouray Colorado for a friends birthday, we’ll be mixed climbing, rock and ice, in the ice climbing hub of Ouray for the next day or two then back to Indian Creek for a couple more days of shooting Andres Marin, the crazy columbian.
On saturday I unfortunately part ways with this crew and head to San Diego for a few days. Then back up to Seattle for a few days of work before leaving for Bozeman.
