My good friend Tyler Jones arrived in Bozeman the other night. His timing was perfect. We woke up to 18 inches on the ground and continued snow fall throughout the day.

This was a show of Michael Franti and Spearhead recently down in Salt Lake City. The show was put on by Avalaunch. An Organization that will be heard about more and more. Their goal is to promote avalanche education, and environmental stewardship through live music, film and snow. They are starting a movement involving lots of topics that all come back full circle.
The relationship between Spearhead and Avalaunch seemed to be a perfect match for the opening of the movement.
If you enjoy indie movies, this will entertain you.
Segways still haven’t caught on but maybe soon.
I hope your finding the snow wherever you are.

I recently ran into an ad for a pretty interesting little gadget. Its a pen, you write anywhere, it digitizes what you have written and then you upload to your computer where it converts what you have written into text on your computer.
Don’t get to excited if you have a MAC, its not compatible.
I wrapped up a trip to Indian Creek Utah the other day, I spent 2 weeks photographing in the desert. This well done video clip of Katie Brown and Cedar Wright on “Belly Full of Bad Berries” is one of the routes that we shot.
I spent 1 day shooting with Mary Harlan on this route. A climber for Mad Rock and Omega Pacific. Check back for some images.
I spent the most time photographing the crazy Columbian, Andres Marin, aka miss January. Check Andres out in the new 2008 Rock and Ice calendar. Andres is truly a pleasure to be around. I think Andres climbed “Brother from another planet” about 10 or 11 times.
